Skill training has been updated. First of all, characters are now able to be training/studying up to 3 different skills at once instead of just one.
Second of all, while training/studying a skill, your skill gain rate for that skill will be doubled. Huzzah!
Third of all, training/studying a skill will set that skill on a timer. Currently the timer length is one hour IN-GAME time from the moment you trained/studied that skill. If the timer expires before you meet your training goal, you will be free to train a new skill, though you will lose 5 ranks in that skill, ultimately netting you an instant +5 skill boost from the original training/study instead of +10.
To clarify, you will always get regular skill gains for any skill you use at any time, regardless of whether you are currently training or studying it. This update applies only to training and studying boosts granted by ASKing trainers about training and STUDYing books that teach skills.

Skill training has been updated once again. The training goal timer has been cut in half (30 minutes instead of 60), and you now suffer no penalty for not meeting your training goal within the study time limit. The incentive for meeting your training goal in time is simply being able to then train another skill without waiting for the study timer to expire and getting the most out of the double skill gain which is active while studying.
This should help facilitate the training of skills that are difficult or boring to actively practice, such as shield use, perception, stealth, picking pockets and firekindling.
