Hello there,
Suggestion by the player Honeyrainbow, I don't want to take any credit for this.
Would it be possible, as for example, locksmiths have their tasks to practice the profession, to have blacksmiths to repair things, tools, craft items for clients, and so on? Of course, all based on their skills. That might be a good way for them to practice and earn some money, too!
Blacksmiths and their tasks
Re: Blacksmiths and their tasks
Yes, this is the plan! And I think it'll sit a lot better than metalsmiths just making and selling the same thing to the market all day every day. It gives more direction, kind of like those combat tasks (that will be revived soon(tm)) that send you to a specific place to fight specific things. Makes you feel like you're doing something more to a purpose.
I know I've been wanting for a long time to have Shagard tasks that have metalworkers make pipes and whatnot to replace busted up parts of their steam/gas/water system around town. Lends a whole lot of extra atmosphere and makes people feel more important to the community as they work on specific stuff around the actual town itself, instead of just throwing endless random whatever into the market.

The lore compels me!
