Quick suggestion.

So, whips are fun in that you can disarm people, choke people, trip people, and stuff like that. Yee-haw.

..It'd also be neat however if we could use ropes as improvised whips. Get the ol' lasso from horseback asthetic going on, na' mean?

Totally willing to be told no on this-- but ropes doing bludgeon damage but being able to trip/disarm/choke like whips would be neat as heck.

Coincidentally-- maybe throw whips in the barracks/general store? Let folks get whippy?

I think if you were to be able to use ropes as whips, the damage factor would need to be SUPER lower. The damage on a standard whip isn't bad at all imo, but I don't think you can get a rope up to the same speed as you can a whip when swinging it (the tip of a whip moves at supersonic speeds).

But otherwise a fan of letting folks have more ways to CC bad guys that aren't magic, and this would be a cool way to do it imo.
