Being able to ignore someone by Nickname

So the problem is, someone is going on and on using the Chat channel, and I don't want to read their lengthy conversation, but I cannot use the ignore command on them because it will only work if I know which character they are logged in with.
I would like to be able to turn off one or two user's chats without leaving the channel entirely. Would you edit the ignore command so we can ignore someone by nickname rather than character name, please and thank you?
