removing and branding items with Craftmark

Following the massive changes to the forging system, I've heard some players complain about having no idea what to do to items they could no longer make. It doesn't make sense even if gms tell them to just pretend it never happens. An idea comes to my mind and I guess I should make a request to see if anything can be done about it.
Since we already can toggle our craftmark on and off, would it be possible to have a way to erase craftmarks from an item, and also a way to rebrand it? That'd give players options to choose to brand or not brand items with marks, and also to get rid of marks on items they can no longer make?
