I would like to request bar molds to aid in production of odd bar sizes.
Functionally similar to existing jewelery molds, and a similar custom order menu could provide all bar sizes currently utilized by forging (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, and 24-pound bar molds). An ideal weight capacity is probably at least 4 times the target bar sizes. You load it up with bars (or ore / metal items if the weight capacity is high enough), put the mold into the furnace, pull the bellows and poof, a good number of the right sized bars.
Alternatively, make it like an extra ingredient so that you just load the furnace with smelt-ables, drop in the bar mold, pull the bellows and all the bars come out at the convenient size of the bar mold.
Any excess material could go into a partial bar (with appropriate item id based on weight) or get consumed, though the latter should have some kind of warning.

Re: Bar molds
There is a major metallurgy overhaul on the todo list, one of the planned features is the ability to produce specific sizes of ingots as well as other molded/casted parts.

Don't be such an ingot, Jaster.

Re: Bar molds
Is anything fleshed out enough details-wise to say what it will look like? Similar to now but with more flexibility on size, or introducing a new metallurgy skill and considerably different mechanics?
