Woodworking Weapons

Post by Dorn »

Any chance we can carve simple wooden clubs? Maybe even two-handed clubs?

I do like this. I would definitely carve and use one if it were possible.

Cudgels are possible, aren't they?

Nein.

Would be nice to see, small clubs, medium clubs, and maybe a two-handed club, depending on the branch.

Weird. I could swear I've carved a cudgel before. I'll poke Jirato and see if he'll confirm whether I'm delusional or not.

You can use the branches as weapons themselves, but I'm more talking proper carved/ornate/purpose-made clubs instead of just an improvised unbalanced branch to hit someone.

Cudgels and clubs are not currently possible.

They will be in the future.

Name aside, is this what you are looking for?
You carefully examine an exquisite walking-stick...
The walking-stick is straight and smooth, allowing for good balance.
It is a medium-sized item, mainly made of spruce.
It could be wielded in melee combat with one hand, its effectiveness dependent on your Hafted
Weapons skill.
It feels a bit awkward to wield, and you figure you could get up to 1 strike per attack with it.
It would give you a slight advantage at parrying incoming blows.
It appears to be of superior quality.

Nah. While good and close, cudgels and clubs are pretty different from my personal imagination of a walking stick, enough to have different stats behind the name even. Not to mention cudgels -are- in game, just not craft able I believe.
