Can we direct speech to ourselves?
say #quiet $mumble ::dorn I'll show that bastard, slice him a new mouth.
Dorn quietly mumbles to himself, "I'll show that bastard, slice him a new mouth."

you can just use the Mutter speech type to do it.

That's muttering something, which I kind of see it coming across a few different ways. Was thinking something a more obvious, you know when a person is literally looking off towards nothing and speaking. They don't always mutter.
