Bandaging

In the recent changelog it was noted that bandaging now takes more time. I played around with this a little this morning and found that I can sit in an infirmary for 10+ mins before I get a full set of bandages and then it can take 10+ mins on top of that for the wound to heal. I understand the desire to allow players to practice on other infirmary-goers and I appreciate that consideration quite a bit, but first aid is very easy to train on yourself just in day to day dealings. I have yet to see players training it on NPCs in an infirmary. At least not since when I first started playing.

With how slow this is, I'm concerned that even bandaging bleeding wounds may take long enough for a person to pass out or possibly die before the bleeding has stopped. Is it possible to decrease the delay a bit or, since this change was to allow players to bandage NPCs, make it so PC characters are now targeted first and then in preference of wound order?

I know there's the argument that NPCs are people too. I get that. But NPCs aren't players. And, unfortunately, this seems too slow.

Necroing.

I'm inclined to agree the new time between NPC bandaging seems very slow now. Twenty seconds, roughly, between bandages. The previous time was something like five seconds. Could we compromise and have something between 10-15? Preferrably 10. It leaves time for practicing on NPCs if for some reason you don't practice on yourself, and still allows a reasonable time for having yourself bandaged by the NPC healer if you're bleeding in many places.

It's been 15 since that change went live.

I'll bring it up in our next GM meeting.

We discussed this and have a solution in mind that will allow us to return the healer roundtime back to 5 seconds and still allow people to bandage the NPCs in the infirmary for training. It'll be a bit of code work before we can release the change though.

You will no longer need to look at an NPC, determine what body part is wounded, and then type bandage (name) (wound). You can now use the same method as bandage me (The old method still works too).
bandage farm
You retrieve an untreated red linen bandage treated with a poultice from your folded black leather toolkit. (ignore the weird name of that bandage, it's GM test stuff)
You carefully bandage a farmer's right eye.
The infirmary healers round time has been reduced back down to 5 seconds from the 15 it was set at earlier this month.

That's awesome. Thank you for the quick work!
