I think falconry in Clok would be awsome.
for sure
(I suggested Falconry to Rithiel as a gimmick for one of her Fasa tribes but she shot it down. I'm going to implement it and have it be especially effective against Fasa in retaliation.)

Kiyaani and I talked about this in length at work, I'm surprised she didn't share our ideas.

It was more just specifics about how this might work if coded in-game. What would be necessary, restrictions on use etc. I believe the basics were that you might need to do this in several phases:
Apprenticeship (training under an NPC advisor doing tasks to learn the skill)
- leatherworking for jesses/hoods/gloves
- woodworking for making traps
- butchering fresh meat
Catching the bird - would require all of the above and might be similar to setting a trap, then having to survey for a suitable bird and then use a mechanic almost like the fishing one where you either succeed or fail or possibly just having to hide the trap and check back later.
Then as far as the bird itself - would only be useable as a minion (similar command structure) for hunting small prey or possibly sending notes to other players (takes time to travel) in case you don't want to use the mail system or have no access to town. Not used to attack since they would have relatively low HP.
You would also have to train the bird so there could be a system to practice certain things with chance to fail. For sending messages you would have to get the bird used to the recipient over time maybe? Anyway it's just ideas we were tossing around.

Advanced engineering to mount laserguns on their heads!
But for reals, falconry would be awesome.
