Would it be possible to implement a way for us to ask NPCs in town for directions for different things, such as the tanner or a trainer for a specific skill, etc. I assume that most individuals who live in that town would be familiar with it's layout and where to go to get something.

That's a nifty idea. I'll put in the black hole that is the to-do list!
