I think it would be nifty if when hunting you got spattered in blood... Just like you can get wet and covered in sawdust. Maybe I am just sadistic. >.> Also could work for skinning/butchering.

Feathers of birds are involved. And injuries, no matter what size should at least give the aesthetic appearance of blood.
