So, I was thinking be nice to have newbie helpers or mentors as such, I don't think you should get any rewards for helping but this could be a role for helping out newbies IC and OOCly.
Well, I for one believe that the mentors DO deserve a reward, and the simplest one that comes to mind is the standard RP reward while on-duty.

Being able to help others and having access to the nifty lounge is reward enough. ^^

Agreed.

Regarding the OOC areas, I think it would be highly entertaining to have an organized game of Capture the Flag there sometime. Perhaps the arena could be expanded slightly to be a tad longer, and carrying a flag could increase your traveltime per move, to make things more interesting.

I'd be up for this!

I'd like to suggest that Orris be made a Mentor. He's very helpful when he's online, and it would be helpful for there to be a Mentor that is a dedicated Elemancer, as my knowledge (as well as the other's) might be very limited compared to a dedicated Elemancer.

I'd offer to mentor Corvus people myself as I try to do it as often as possible. I realize that according to Rias this will never happen "because you're a horrible person." Just thought I'd throw that out there.

How's about pesterin' you to opening up the lounge some time so we can beat each other to a pulp? :P

I'm sure that could be arranged, once I figure out how. Ha.

You only need to go onduty as a mentor to allow others into the Mentor Lounge. The OOC Battle Arena is through the passage, then through the doors.

Didn't really know where to put this, and I hope I don't ruin a GM's post, but I'm really happy that Jhordon is now a mentor!! Congrats, man! Elemancers yo!

I don't think that I'd be a good edition to this as of yet as I'm still kind of brand-new myself, but I do like the idea. I stopped playing clok a little while back because I got on, had no idea whatsoever with what I was supposed to do, and nobody felt like helping except one person who gave me some starting armor. The one person that I found from the Utasa guild seemed to want nothing to do with me so once I did a few tasks I just quit the game. Now that I know several people that play the game, (and have found the IRC channel to chat) it's a lot easier for me to jump in, and switch windows to ask a question to some one or join in the ooc discussion, and then switch back. I also now have a better understanding of how the game works and am giving anything that can be tried it's chance to see what I can do. That and their also seems to be way more players on now than when I left the game before. But for now, Everu is here and is sticking around.

Some more detailed directions of where to download a client and get to the IRC server would be good.
