Set Voice

Post by Jhieger »

Low priority request. We can set our speech and our tone, what about our voice? For instance, I'd like to speak in a gravelly voice.

This could work as part of tone, actually.

This is already in place with both TONE and SPEECH.

tone hoarse set

Your tone has been set to hoarse permanently. To undo this select: tone remove

You hoarsely say, "My throat hurts."

This works the same way for SPEECH.

That said, feel free to suggest new Tones and Speech options. I can see about adding ones I believe are appropriate.

A gravelly voice is different than hoarse, which is why I suggested it. Gravelly is just how your voice naturally is, whereas hoarse is a temporary condition. So instead of: Jhieger hoarsely says, "Good morning." it would be: Jhieger says in a gravelly voice, "Good morning." Evelyn exclaims in a husky voice, "Let's punch in some skulls!" Oldperson asks in a wheezy voice, "Have you seen my spectacles?" Knightguy says in a deep voice, "I will protect you."

Ah, actually reading your request would be helpful. I blame the 3 hours of sleep. :(

[FROM Rias (OOC)]: Jaster can now pick the lock on your bathroom door. I don't want any more details on that bug report.
You ask, "Are we there yet?"
Bryce angrily says, "I will turn this horse RIGHT AROUND."
Speaking to you, Jaster exclaims, "Compassion, Sister Lae!"
