suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
If you put a lot of herbs in a mortar the roundtime when you grind is huge: you can be frozen several minutes.
It would be nice to reduce the roundtime so you can stop early. Of course, the total amount should remain the same. Instead of 4 times of 120 seconds, it could be 48 times of 10 seconds.

Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
You should only be able to put a few herbs into a mortar at once anyway.
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
why? you can put lots of filets in a skillet and cook once.
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
I imagine the high round time is intentional, to dissuade people from grinding as many herbs as physically possible at a time.
“I will tell you precisely what Royalty is,” said Intra, “It is a continuous cutting motion.”
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
You're getting 120 seconds. How many herbs do you have in there at once? It sounds like there are more than could conceivably fit if it's taking you that long.
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
I recommend grinding 1-3 herbs at a time. That's supposed to be around the capacity anyway.
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
You can actually kill yourself by grinding too many herbs at once.
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
per viewtopic.php?f=9&t=591&start=125Herb-grinding mortars now have a maximum capacity of 3 items.
If you can put more than 3 herbs in your mortar, I think it might should be bugged, as it was announced coding change that such is not the case.
Re: suggestion: reduce grinding roundtime
I could put 20 herbs (of the same type), so maybe there is a bug.
If the maximum is really three, then I am going to type a lot.

If you're using MUSHClient or any other client with a multi-line input (or command stacking) you could just copy and paste, or possibly make use of the command history. I do that when forging. Up up up up enter. Up up up up enter.
You also notice the corpse of a canim scavenger (x169).

Yeah, you shouldn't be able to put that meany things into a mortar.
The lore compels me!
