Town Post Board wrote: It seems Shagardians are quite enamored with the thought of the festival of Aengels. Giving gifts to loved ones and friends, sharing in revelry. With that in mind, I would like to propose a little get together on the eve of the solstice, the 21st of the month, to open each others gifts, together, with a night of revelry, food and drink. If anyone is interested, I shall endeavor to put things together. Thoughts or suggestions, send a letter. - V. DeVries, White.
With all the excitement over a random suggestion, and all of ya'll already making use of it, let's make it a whole, big party! Music and dancing, drinks and revelry! AND PRESENTS!
I'm still working out details; time, date, all that fun stuff. Will post here again with all that, I just got so excited about it all that I wanted to get something going!!
A shadowy wolf with luminous blue eyes emerges from the edge of the redwood grove, its stance and gait non-aggressive. Maintaining several yards distance, it sits. Several others begin to emerge from various points in the foliage around you, causing you to realize you have been surrounded. The first wolf stares at Vighon for many long moments, unmoving and unblinking, as the surrounding wolves remain still. Then the first wolf stands, turns, and heads back into the redwood grove. The surrounding wolves disappear back into the surroundings.
A new post appears on the post board in the Commons of Shadgard:

In true fashion, we will be providing food and drink, merriment and revelry for any who wish to attend, as well as opening gifts left by friends and family under the holly tree (if one can wait for the day). Music and song welcome: We will endeavor to hire several individuals for this purpose (with 1,000r payment) but any who wish to sing a song, or play an instrument will be welcomed. If you've an interest in performing, please write to V. DeVries - the post office staff have the mailbox in the directory. For any who wish to otherwise assist in preparations, we are looking for the following: Large jars to hold drinks (both alcoholic and non), food stuffs, and a table with which to set it all out on. Monetary donations will be accepted as well. Direct any questions, suggestions, or wants to V. DeVries, White.

This was a really great time, and those responsible for the organization, and plan formation, and generation of ideas for gifts should just feel so proud of themselves.
I might be biased because my friends are awesome both OOC and IC and I got nice things, but it was super cool to see what everyone got, and see everyone coming together to just enjoy the vibe.
The amount of gifts that ended up under that tree in Shadgard really speak for themselves. And there's still a ton yet to be claimed, too!
The songs were great, too. Thanks to Kismet for preparing so thoroughly, and for Eirlys for doing the same. I felt bad that we didn't get to see more of it, so high hopes you'll both be willing to peek out and belt out a few more tunes for us IC when appropriate!
I want to shoot a sincere and special shoutout to the staff on this one. That alteration suite was majorly appreciated by yours truly, and i'm sure it had to have been appreciated by more folks on top of that. It helped make this special thing just that much more special, and for that, I'm truly, sincerely thankful. That says nothing about all of the little background emotes that were happening, too. It was just sweet as all the candy-coated hells.
I won't ramble too much, but i'm not a big holiday person. This really did help. It brought out some of the spirit in me that I desperately needed to feel, and seriously-- that's hard to do with me. So again, thank you. Especially at a time that's so stressful and so busy for so many people. Everyone who made the time to think of others specifically instead of themselves? You rock. Like out loud.
Cheers, and looking forward to the next crazy thing someone comes up with. (Who knows! It might be me!)
You declaratively shout, "frack Corvus. Support Shadgardians."
Zeldryn nods simply, that said, folding his arms back beneath a striated fiery-orange wool poncho.
Several townsfolk cheer in response to Zeldryn's shout!
I honestly thought I missed it when I woke up to join. Glad it wasn't the case and I got to sit through the entire thing. It was fun seeing what everyone else got and seeing familiar faces. Special thanks to the gms for custom emotes and even a custom character to go with it. That made me laugh out loud!
Sorry for some moments of awkwardness though, and another special thanks to Eirlys for making my hulk finally open his gifts after like forever.
Ps. I wish we could re-label the gift boxes.

This GM has been peppered and grillef over an open flame to a juicy perfection.
I had a blast too! This is pretty much my first event where I kept having fun the whole day, and I wasn't even able to stay for the songs after opening gifts!
It's also the first time in all the months I have been around I felt like I didn't get lost in the crowd. That's something really really difficult for me, and it makes me happy to an extent that is hard to describe. Both me and Tandor, really.
Granted, some of the fun I had was quite odd. Tandor snuck some holiday-themed items out of Shadgar for some people who would have missed the events otherwise, he got his life saved, he saved someone's life, he got presents made for him when he thought he wouldn't get any and so on!
Kudos to Tacos, Coldstar and Violetta's player (I forgot how to write their name ack), thank you to you guys for making the day all the more interesting for me!
Because to this event, I will be looking forward to the next one. That dumb thing means the world to me, so I had to thank everyone else involved as well, including the GMs
Tandor closes his speech for The Lost Rangers by cheering, "May our charts guide the way!"
