Ive been taking some time to update the wiki. I have made some updates to long standing changes but i know i will have missed some. with this in mind i would love some help pointing out some things that need to be changed. I have updated the utasa, udemi and recruiters pages, more will be done on that front as i am most familiar with those changes.
So please if you know of things that need to be updated please let me know! we are hoping to resolve some long standing pages so our new comers have the most up to date information!
Thanks,
-Vinz

I can't think off-hand where it is Vinz, but i do recall a thread in which Elystole was looking for suggestions on pages when he attempted to help the GMs out. If I weren't braindead and tired I'd look for it.

Are there any particular methods you'd prefer these things be brought to you by?

I found one earlier, then. The woodworking page states Wagon Master Bernard teaches the skill, yet the only skills he teaches are riding and whips. To note, no one in Haiban seems to teach Woodworking, unless I haven't found them.
In fact, here is what the Wiki states this NPC teaches:
Code: Select all
Skills Taught
Bernard will train anybody.
Carpentry
Firearms
Logging
Riding
Whips
Woodworking

Could you please update the leathercrafting wiki to show all the steps from skinned pelt to finished product
1. clean skin
2. pour bottle on skin (requires brown bottle)
3. put skin on rack
4. tan skin <type>
5. put skin on worktable
6. trace <category> <item>
7. lcraft leather
I think that's correct but i'm not sure 100%

Thanks! I forgot how to do the steps for this earlier, and thankfully some players were on to help me through it. I'm sure this will help future newbies who try out leatherworking!

Cooking 52 riln
Farming 50 riln
Fishing 50 riln
Fletching 77 riln
Herbalism 191 riln
"If you want training in any of these skills, just ask me about the specific skill you want training in."

Minor, but worth updating to follow the standard of the other pages. On the Artisan guild abilities page, leatherwork mastery describes each of the levels: apprentice, journeyman, master, as having a percent roll bonus and instant skill increase, but doesn't make clear what the instant skill increase value is, where the other ability pages I noticed do give an exact number for each level of the skill increase. Minor, but I think consistency is good.

Might want to update this page, as I'm pretty sure that a few things can be added/changed.

I'm not sure why Lost Lands is redirecting to "World", nor why the "World" article seems only to concern itself with towns and outposts.

All right, Lost Lands now has a tiny little blurb, but it's at least specific to the Lost Lands now and no longer redirects to World.

http://wiki.contrarium.net/index.php?title=Cooking
This page heavily references the Tools of the Trade wagon which no longer exists.
HELP COOKING wrote:===Stuffing===
*You can core tomatoes, squash, apples, and pears.
*Once hollowed-out, you can stuff these with a variety of yummies available in the Tools of the
Trade wagon.
*The stuffed items can then be cooked on a skillet.
We don't know what "yummies" are able to be stuffed into a food as there is no Tools of the Trade wagon to reference for this information.

Checking on the climbing skill page, Fisherman Alerr is linked as a trainer. Visited, but Fisherman Alerr only trains swimming and fishing. Not climbing.

This is going to be a hugeish post, I am so sorry, I just love wikis and spread of useful information to assist new people and old people alike.
The
Recruiters page seems to be out of date, since there are a lot of recruiters not listed (as well as a lot of guilds, this is reflected in the game where the GUILD command doesn't list Brotherhood of the Fist or Wyrvardn, unless those are RP-into-guilds).
Also, there are several recruiter/trainer pages that probably need to be updated. For instance:
Ranger Gil is no longer located in the Vjatnfall ruins, he's now in a cabin in the Brittlebranch forest south/southwest of Mistral Lake's docks. I'm also not sure where
Berserker Valkari is, so if she's no longer in the ruins, that should get changed maybe.
There are still more recruiters who don't have any information listed:
Healer Ismelda
Leynier the Bowmaster
Lumberjack Kolver
Master Trader Locke
Mummer Mayhew
Nelana the Mine Foreman
The mining foreman
Trader Jashon
And these ones maybe shouldn't be called "recruiters" since the guild they're associated with are listed as RP-into guilds:
A young acolyte
Hooded scribe
Semirage

Alrighty, updated all of those. Valkari is still MIA so until she is replaced we will keep her where she was on the wiki.
A majority of those weren't actually recruiters, they were just tagged as such so i removed those tags, updated skills training where it was missing and all the other information i could find. I also updated cooking (As per Barius) and took climbing off Alerr's page (As per Sona)
Enjoy,
-Vinz
