A note on CvC encounters

(For those unaware, CvC = Character vs Character)

Just a note here on CvC encounters and getting bullied/attacked/killed.

Don't forget one very important thing: You can walk away. A good amount of CvC deaths could be avoided if the victim had just taken off. You don't have to submit to bullies or thieves, you don't have to cower and cringe in fear. Just take off. Deny them their opportunity to try and intimidate you or whatever they seem to be up to. I know it can be hard - you want to stand your ground and prove you're tough, or in the right, or at the very least not scared. But the opportunity's nearly always there, and it can save you the trouble and discouragement of getting killed.
This isn't to say this will always be a valid course of action. Sometimes you won't have time to react, or you'll get surprised attacked, or whatever. We deal with situations as they come up - that is, we want to prevent "griefing". CvC is valid interaction, though.
