I have been fishing with lessons recently, and the day before yesterday, my skillgains came to an abrupt stop at 50.1.

I have fished at Mistral Lake town centre, the Mistral Lake dock, in Keth, and along the riverbank in Tarureka. I tried all four of these places again after my fishing skillgains hit this glass ceiling, but the fishing skill remains frozen at 50.1, with no change either in the 1.2 further skillgains needed in my lesson before I can train another skill.

Please advise if I need to fish somewhere else, or is this a bug?

P.S. Also, I tried spearfishing before and after the 50.1 skill, and that never resulted in a skillgain at either stage.

This will be "fixed" when tougher-to-catch fish are added.

So you're saying, for now I might as well abandon fishing lessons and work on something else?

Note that I didn't find catching fish at 50 skill all that simple...still had fair bit of struggle and significant loss of catches...hardly a mastery of catching salmon and catfish.

Same here. Also, without skill in polearms, spear fishing is downright impossible. I must've spent hours getting a single mudfish using spears -- which didn't give me skillgains in fishing because it was already at 50.

There is only one solution here... we shall become fishers of men.
