I'm trying to put together an outfit for winter to keep me warm. My breezy tunic, rolled-up pants and sandals aren't cutting it in this snow. My character's a Parren and has a history of sailing, so I'm trying to go for the sailor look but not military. Here's what I've come up with, but I'd be glad for suggestions and improvements.

(not sure what to do for the hat, tricorne gives too much of an officer or military impression)
a weatherstained navy wool peacoat
a thick ecru long-sleeved wool tunic
some heavy black wool trousers
a weathered black leather belt with a rusty iron buckle
(can't think of anything special for socks)
some salt-stained black leather boots

If you send mail IC to Kyskie with a general theme or idea (or even without!), she'll typically do a VERY good job. All I did was give a very vague color scheme idea and ask that it be good for forest wear and the like, and I was very pleased with the results!

I think it looks fantastic, maybe instead of a hat just solitary hood ala Assassin's creed or a bandana?

- a deep hood of gray wave-patterned broadcloth
- a thick dark burlap hood trimmed in navy felt

-a inky black linen bandana with a low knot on one side
-a vivid cerulean fustian bandana fringed with bleached cowrie shells

As a side note Avedri is available for design help as well (IG via mail) or I'm happy to do stuff over the boards.

Avedri is an ace at clothing design, she makes me look shabby. You should totally pick her brain!
