Idea: Bloodlust

One idea presented to DR and GS way back in the day (and I think it actually released briefly for testing in DR) was one called Bloodlust. In this mode, a player was able to "roll up" a creature. All actions were pretty limited to only things that creature could do, and they could only level up by killing/fighting PCs. I think it'd be mad cool to roll up a Hyra or Infested and just RP it out as that creature for a while. I know this might infringe a bit on the alignment system in that instantly you can become aligned to said faction... but with the limitations to only play that creature with certain actions/skills seems to balance it.
Thoughts?

I think that could be potentially pretty neat. And as long as it were limited to creatures that weren't inherently capable of Spellcasting, I think it wouldn't be too overpowered. Though a way to have it on Cooldown for the same person would be nice, to prevent people from rapid rolling Hyra to troll with.

That would be really cool. I remember when they talked about it for the Simu games.

Random thought occurred in regards to this. Maybe have it tie to an actual character, and you have to have X amount of hours played in order to get access to certain tiers of monsters. So on Kian, I could potentially play quite a few different monsters of varying levels (I would log onto Kian, and start the Monster Character Generation from him instead of from the start up screen), but if I tried it on my thief I never play, I might not be able to create a monster at all.

Agreed. Would offer tiers of access.

I'd link it to total skill gains instead of time played.
