I was hoping the GM's would consider recategorizing leathercrafted chaps from a mere clothing item, to an armor item. I say this because they are worn, not instead of trousers, but over trousers for defense reasons. In real life, chaps are designed especially for protection, against brambles when you're riding, against rocks when you fall, etc.
