What are the chances?

Post by Aldric »

I'm curious, how often does this happen? I've milled well over 500 logs and never saw it until this morning.

Watching your fingers carefully, you push your rough oak cant along the steel rails toward the spinning saw-blades. ***BBBBBZZZZZZZ*** Sawdust flies everywhere covering you! When the dust clears you see you have been left with several rough oak flitches.
Roundtime: 10 seconds.

***Suddenly your hand is caught in the giant sawblade! *** BBBBZZZ ***

129 slash damage to the left hand!
(energy -129)
Also, it'd be really cool if it left behind "a severed left hand" or something on the carriage that I could keep as a souvenir. That way next time someone asks me "Could you give me a hand?" I could say "Why yes, yes I can!" and pull it out of my backpack to offer them. :-)

[FROM Rias (OOC)]: Jaster can now pick the lock on your bathroom door. I don't want any more details on that bug report.
You ask, "Are we there yet?"
Bryce angrily says, "I will turn this horse RIGHT AROUND."
Speaking to you, Jaster exclaims, "Compassion, Sister Lae!"

:) The chances are slim, and decrease as your logging skill increases.

This was Lae's idea, and I admit to giggling like a little girl as I coded it.

I'm not sure I want people storing severed hands (that never rot) all over the place. It is weird enough with the perfectly preserved ears that death causes right now.
No longer GMing for CLOK.
