The chances are slim, and decrease as your logging skill increases. This was Lae's idea, and I admit to giggling like a little girl as I coded it.
I'm not sure I want people storing severed hands (that never rot) all over the place. It is weird enough with the perfectly preserved ears that death causes right now.
