A thought occurred to me this morning, and I want to see it answered. It seems to me that certain kinds of fish are more common inside Mistral than outside. This may just be coincidence, but I don't know. But if it isn't coincidence, that means where you fish does make a difference as to what you can catch. So I was wondering: does where you fish have any affect on what types of fish you catch, and if so, are there any places where you can catch certain types of fish that can't be caught anywhere else?

Yes, it makes a difference. I encourage you to go try fishing in different places to see what you can find! Climate makes a big difference it seems, and there are strange fish in underground fishing areas.
