Would it be possible to get an estimate of how much of an herb is in the area when you survey?

You find evidence that the following resources can be foraged here:
some arnica (abundant)
some yora root (sparse)
So then if there's an herb that I wanted to continue growing somewhere, I would forage until it was sparse, but not completely gone, and leave what's there to regrow.
