Connections over port 23

I understand if this is completely unfeasible, but could the clok server accept connections over the standard telnet port (23) as well as port 4000? Several muds (Aardwolf, IRE muds, Batmud) do, and I'm now in a situation re: an internet firewall I don't control where I can easily play all muds over port 23, and no muds over custom ports.
