Posting new topics captcha

Post by Alexander »

It appears some are required to answer a captcha question when posting new topics, and the answer is not working correctly.

If the answer is CLOK, are they capitalizing correctly?

It was observed by Aldric (I believe) that the issue was experienced in Chrome, but not Firefox.

Here's what happened yesterday:

I posted a reply to some elemancer thread using a quote. I answered CLOK, it took me back to my post with like half of the post missing and an error that it was missing an end /quote tag, which it did have (got stripped somehow).

I then logged off and logged in under a different name and tried to make a new post, it wouldn't take CLOK, Clok, or clok as acceptable answers (the question was the same).

After talking to Alexander about it, I tried Firefox and it worked fine on my first attempt. I'm thinking maybe something got wonky with cached data and me having separate forum accounts for each of my characters.

Same here
The elements are slaves to no being. One must learn to ask for their aid, the elements offer power to the humble. This is why no one is truly a master yet everyone is a student..

I used it. I had no problems. Although it was irritating.

I'm trying to get it so it's only required for registration. The management is a bit unintuitive. There've been a lot of bots spamming lately.
The lore compels me!
