NEW SPELL IDEA!

Legion of the Dead

In chess you have only one queen, two knights and bishops, but you have MANY pawns. This spell is used to summon the weakest yet most numerous of a sorcerers minions from the corpses of his enemies. Using the raw materials from the fallen the sorcerer can gather bones to create weak skeletons.

Mechanics:

This spell would work similar to minor animation but it would work on any corpse (with bones) regardless of condition and will summon a skeleton at one tenth the sorcerers sorcery level. (possibly less) Unknown as to how many the sorcerer can summon at one time as this will have to be tested. Meant to be a quantity not quality spell.

Hmmm I would think you would get the same stereotypical humanoid like skeleton from whatever creature's corpse you were working from. If you wanted to get fancy they might vary in size and particular shape given that humanoid bones make better humanoid shaped skeletons. Like rat skeletons might be very small and might be missing a part or two from the incomplete set of bones. Or maybe might take a couple of rats to make one complete bone monster. Or maybe animals may yield a animated bone minion while humanoids would make a regular scary dancing skeletons.
