Utasa agents may now learn the riposte ability.

The chances for it to occur will be tweaked greatly as it is tested.

In addition to fixing Riposte so that it properly interrupts attacks, it will now also cause the target of the riposte to suffer a defense penalty against the counter-strike.

Great idea... but maybe this should use Swords OR Fencing as a pre-req? I guess the fencing skill itself kinda confuses me...

Fencing is obsolete. There's no way to learn or utilize it.

Doing a few short tests it seems that using a respite costs me 4 energy, how much energy does a basic parry cost me if any?

When using respite, the target's dodge value seems higher than if I attack it normally, while neither of its parry ratings seem to drop, I will post logs in a while once i try it out on more creatures.

As seen in the log below, a respite costs 2/3rd the energy of a round which might be between 2 and 5 strikes, as well as increases the target's defenses to a higher point than what it is compared to a normal round. (My own defenses are in flux as I am being attacked by multiple people). I hope this helps.

This post was recently brought to my attention. I'm not sure what's causing the change in defensive skills, but the roundtime and energy costs have been addressed.

Could the fencing helpfile/references be removed, for the above obvious reason, it confuses players?

What helpfile and references do you mean?
