Halo

I might be missing this somewhere so I apologize in advance if I just didn't see it. Since Monks no longer learn Halo as an ability do they still get the bonus to melee reduction from nethrim? Was the ability rolled into something else? Since monks can't train defensive skills it's nice for them to have some of these perks rolled into abilities. I do realize we have flare and I'm not sure if that was supposed to act as a sort of replacement for the old halo effect.
From the wiki:
Halo is an ability learned by members of the Knights Templar and the Monastic Order [no longer the case].
While active, this spell will provide light for the caster, allowing him to keep both hands free instead of carrying a light source [got rolled into channeling thaumaturgy]. Also reduces the accuracy of incoming melee attacks from nethrim by 10% [is this still the case for monks without the ability].
