Nirvana
A nether creature is set into a daze as they are entranced with a vision of harmony of the creatures concept of a perfect place for it. This results in as same effect after a living creature being sap.

Nether creatures in the room suffer a penalty to their skills do to a charge of thumaturgy running though their bodies, trying to shackle their form.

Form of a Crusader
Concept:
The Templar calls for the divine powers to sustain hir through the long crusade against the darkness.

Mechanical Notes:
Increase to the Templar's passive energy recovery, maybe some health regen boost too?
Simple!
Alternatively, perhaps make it a passive ability?

The Torchbearer's Body
Hardening not only his mind but his body, the Templar shakes free from the trappings of a Nethrim and resists their corrupting powers.
The Templar's body becomes resistant to frost (damage becomes --) and nether (damage becomes -!) based damage and snares.

Prerequisite Abilities
Halo
Prerequisite Skills
Thaumaturgy (250)

Heh, I think Templars wearing iron armor is more than enough effective cold and nether resistance.

As it is now, someone in iron armor is very well protected from something casting sorcery. (Unless they have a way to get past the armor, dun dun.)

But what about less stereotypical Templar that favor cloth for the increased mobility and easier channeling? =O

Also: iron protects against cold? o_O

Reynard, they have a Ability to allow you to channel in plate :-)

Iron protects against nether, not cold.

Less stereotypical templar will enjoy fewer of the stereotypical templar advantages.

Oh, no. Just sorcery, but heavy armor in general still helps against cold.

And Templars really have no reason not to wear heavy armor, they've got several abilities which make wearing it much easier, and like Nootau said, they can cast quite effectively in it.

Oh, I thought it just reduced the failure rate. I assumed that having three channels open while wearing fullplate would be difficult, instead of downright impossible.

It's a reduced chance. They can still lose channels.
