Special Horses

Post by Nootau »

Seeing as Templars are going to be mounted specialists, I would think they should have a specialized horse only purchasable through Guild Points. It would be armored. I would say that because normal horses would not be accustomed to armor, or at least this level of armor.

Such a horse should not be able to pull special carts that Trader horses might offer, which would be made to carry a lot more things than a normal horse.

I personally like the idea of having something like Spirit Augmentation but for their horse.

The Templar don't have anything like 'Spirit Augmentation' though, they wear armor.

Yes, I know, but the statement "only Templar can use magic to armor their horses" makes more sense to me than "only Templar can ride armored horses".

I would say it is not only Templar can ride them, anyone can. The difference is.. only the Templar train horses to wear that level of armor. Most horses would be fitted with a lot less armor. So rather than limited horseman training, it would be a very limited supply of these horses.

Would this make any sense?

Are there armored horses available anywhere for Templars? I would be very interested if there are.
