I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right place, but it would seem that haft-frogs are 'huge' in size, and thus unable to fit in most things or put on some surfaces. I found this curious, since a haft-frog isn't fairly large and the thought of not being able to be put on a table or in a trunk made me raise an eyebrow.

I might be misunderstanding the size of CLOK's haft-frogs though.

I've found this applies to a lot of weapon containers because they need to be big enough to hold the weapons they carry. It's weird, for sure.
