A pulsating water elemental just arrived.

a pulsating water elemental points at you.
A geyser of water sprays toward you! (R:900 vs D:***)
7 bludgeon damage -- to the abdomen, greatly deflected by a polished iron breastplate.
(energy -7)
You are sent hurtling southward!

You ride your hulking pale gray warhorse st_canyon38.

[Red Marshes, Lowlands] (OutFlMu) [subalpine]
Insects buzz thick in the air along with a heavy stench. A thick red mud covers most of the area, tinged from the red rock of the cliffs climbing to the south. A trail winds upward into the steep cliffside while the gates of a crude log outpost serves to guard the only path northward.
The area is slightly noisy.
Also here: your hulking pale gray warhorse (ridden by yourself).
Obvious paths: up.

You land on the ground with a crash!
11 crush damage -- to the left hand, somewhat deflected by some spiked gauntlets.
(energy -11)
Roundtime: 5 seconds.

You feel fully rested.

Oops. That command execution failed. Please report this with the bug command using the following syntax: bug [bug info]
Example: bug I get an error when trying to use the LOAD verb with my flintlock.

You seem to be more or less dried off now.

The bug is that you weren't dismounted?

Very astute. Yes. I did not get knocked off, I rode my horse a tagged direction, then when i tried to remount my horse it spit out that BUG message.

Why would riding a horse into a tagged direction automatically dismount you? I think I am missing something. What was supposed to dismount you? Moving or the knock around?

If I'm sent hurtling off into a direction (which typically moves you to an adjacent room and places you in the prone position) how am I not knocked off my horse?

There are a variety of issues here:

First, the messaging "You are sent hurtling southward!" doesn't really imply whether or not the mount is sent with you. (IMO, it shouldn't, so he probably should have been dismounted at that time.)

Second, the "You ride your hulking pale gray warhorse st_canyon38." shouldn't have been seen at all. Not only is that message bugged, but also if you're sent hurtling somewhere, you aren't technically riding.

Then when he got the "You land on the ground with a crash!" bit, it moved him to a laying position from the mounted position, yet he was never properly dismounted from his horse, so when he stood up and looked it showed that it was being ridden by him even though he was standing.
