"bandage me" Issue

Post by Marauder »

When you use the command bandage me with an open container with available bandages, a free hand and some sort of injury, it will usually bandage the first applicable injury on you. However, I've noticed that it doesn't seem to work on "moderately wounded" injuries, it ignores them entirely and acts as if there's no injuries left even if it's unbandaged and you've bandaged everything else.

Moderate injuries can only be bandaged with poultices. There are a few odd circumstances where a few can be healed down without. In general though, a moderate injury not being bandaged is not a bug.

I've bandaged moderate injuries just fine by targeting them, though. Maybe that's the bug, then.

...Isn't that an old, reverted change, though? I've been able to bandage severe wounds to get them to stop bleeding and heal and so on.

I'll try to look into it this weekend.
[GMCHAT Uyoku]: Octum is when the octumbunny comes around and lays pumpkins everywhere right?
[GMCHAT Rias]: Dimmes says "oh hai :) u need healz? ill get u dont worry thaum lasers pew pew pew lol"
[CHAT - GameMaster Rias would totally nuke Rooks]: Here's how elemancy works: The freeblegreeble and the zippoflasm have to be combined with the correct ration of himbleplimp, then you add the gargenheimer and adjust the froopulon for the pattern you want, apply some tarratarrtarr, yibble the wantaban, and let 'er rip!

It may be just me in that I go to healers after bandaging up my character when heavily injured and the bandages sort of 'stack' ontop of eachother (the healer NPC can override my bandaging), even if I only stay there for roughly five seconds when it'd take eighteen to get fully bandaged, the NPC targets the worst wound first.

If that even makes sense. Admittedly, coming back after all these changes left me very confused, so it may just have been my error.

You can bandage a bleeding wound but only to stop the bleeding , once the bandage falls off, you're right back where you were. You can only heal minor and light wounds with an untreated bandage

You say, "Um."
a Mistral Lake sentry arrives from the east, armor clanking.
Kent heads north.

The AI will go through each of your wounds by order of severity. If the bandage you presently have on it is not sufficient to heal it (either not poulticed, or with a duration that is not sufficient to completely heal the wound), it will remove the old bandage and replace it with a new one with the correct poultice / duration.
