Some time ago now, as many noticed, a force of Viali soldiers arrived to aid Shadgard and the rest of the Lost Lands against the increasingly aggressive activity of the warlock Sceptus Corvus and his associates, and the threat of his growing army of nethrim - particularly his fearsome demons. With the assistance of many locals, the force managed to make an attack on the Corvus Outpost and drive the warlock out.
All that is a very summarized and lacking-in-details account of what happened in the past. However, recent rumors suggest that while the Viali had always intended to leave a small garrison in the Lost Lands to keep an eye on the dark outpost and its demons, the entire force appears to have been stranded in the Lost Lands due to unforseen complications with the Quarantine. As a result, many families have migrated from Ivial to the Lost Lands and the fortress dubbed Valeria, in order to be reunited with the brave men and women that may have no means of returning to their homeland.
With the migrations, as well as its struggles to evolve into a completely self-sufficient outpost, the traffic to the fortress built within the old ruins at the central Northern Lost Lands crossroads has become more ovbious. A wheel-rutted path can be seen leading to Valeria's eastern gatehouse, though Valeria is wary of admitting any visitors at this time, save those they specifically know they can trust.

Being primarily a military fortress, it's not exactly open to the public except under specific conditions.
