Chained weapons

Post by Makkah »

In GS, there's a GM auction morning star that implements a "wind-up" effect.
You can use a verb to SPIN the morning star to build up momentum and increase its effectiveness.

In CLOK, this action is alluded to in chained weapons descrip when buying.
With the help of Acarin's mind, I propose a SPIN verb to boost chain weaponry's damage capabilities. Maybe add 3 tiers of SPINnage: use it once, small boost; twice, moderate; three times, big bonus. To counteract, the verb would also cause a penalty to its attack number. This can be explained by the weapon being slightly out of control while spinning.

Note this verb has to be used before any attack you want the boost added.

A spin mechanic has been on the docket for a long time, just not high-priority. We'll get to it eventually, but chained weapons are already extremely effective as they are.
The lore compels me!
