Little bit of a necro here, but do you have to do anything to get whips to do that or just keep raising the skill?

Just has a chance to happen when hitting the right hit location, no special command or anything. I love using whips in encounters where I don't want to kill my target, just disable them.

Whips seem to be one of those severely underrated weapons, much like chained weapons.

Good to know. If only there was a way to set separate aim locations for each hand my whip/throwing dagger combo would some day be the envy of all!
