Death threshold updates

Post by Rias »

Creatures will be slowly updated to have more accurate fatality thresholds for their hit locations over the next week or so. Player characters will see no difference in their own wound levels - this will only be effecting some creatures. For instance, now the rats and ravens in the graveyard go down pretty easily. 20 damage to the head of a raven is fatal, considering how small it is. The reported severity of wounds (scraped, lightly wounded, etc.) is now based on that hit location's maximum wound level, rather than on a static 0-100 scale.

In addition, death due to extreme energy loss (beyond unconsciousness) is now based on the creature's maximum energy, rather than being at a set threshold of -100. Again, player characters will stay the same, with 500 max energy and dying from energy loss at -100, while rats, with a max 50 energy, will die at -10 energy.
The lore compels me!
