vine spell

Post by Kakoon »

when I vine a creature and break engagement with it I see it as me backing up 10 or 15 feet so I can shoot my bow and they stay trapped in the vine unable to move. When another creature comes into the room and pulls me into melee combat why would the first creature that's vined be able to hit me with melee. The second creature entered into melee combat with me 10 or 15 feet away from the first creature.

The mechanics of this spell should be looked at. It makes more sense that the first creature would still be unable to engage me in combat until the vine wears off

Update is, unfortunately, that to do what's proposed would be fairly complicated and is low-priority, considering how effective the spell already is in its current form.
