Re: The Masterful Conundrum
I personally don't see the problem with a smith producing thousands of items without getting a masterful (though I feel that's an exaggeration, hundreds more like it). Masterful aren't supposed to be uber common. I like the idea of only being able to get it on an initial forge from raw materials. S...

Re: The Masterful Conundrum
So there are more incentive structures at play here, the chief among them is the shift in forging strategy after the recent forging change. In the past, a smith could (and would) max out forging general because it pays well and then ride that high skill to craft everything else. Now smiths need to m...

Re: Wood item repair
First, it doesn't work with all wood items. I recommend learning with damaged carved staves or quarterstaves. While holding the damaged item, with an open druidry channel, not in a shop (because some offer repairs), use repair (or repair staff, etc.).

I think this would actually make for a fun pair of abilities cleanliness: +2% morale always on when not dirty, smelly, bloody, gory, snow covered, muddy, or cold. Absent for a time
I'm going to be away for a little while due to life circumstances getting really demanding really suddenly. Nothing life threatening or the like, and I'm definitely doing better than a couple days ago, but I'm not out of the woods yet. Prayers and/or kind thoughts are appreciated, details will not b...

That means that poisonous gas is going to leak out and you'll start suffocating.
That means that you missed the earlier rumbing, because cave-ins always rumble, not hiss.

VI friendly energy management
It was mentioned on chat that it would be nice receive a warning when you are about to be completely exhausted. For fully sighted players, this is usually handled by just watching what color your energy indicator is on the prompt. VI users can at present monitor manually via the fatigue or status co...

For a non-coded work around, I will recommend utilizing note add to make a note of the artisan only schematics and note view any time you need to see it.

Re: Carved haft termination
Perhaps making a Woodworking option for wooden hafts that are only compatible with knapped heads would fix this problem? Or simply changing carved staves to be the substitute item. I'm not really picky, and again, not in a hurry about it. Edit to add: or using carved walking-sticks as hafts for han...

Carved haft termination
Woodworking no longer includes hafts as an option due to numerous exploitative mechanics and the new forging system replacing them. Old hafts should still be usable with the new system but woodworkers are encouraged to supply carved staves for blacksmiths instead. -- Noctere 13:17, 12 September 201...

Re: Arrowhead Blacksmithing Changes
To avoid those odd/sad scenarios, I'd like to propose a change. I believe it makes mechanical and logical sense to allow the base "Blacksmithing" ability to be the ONLY ability requirement for forging arrowheads, just like it used to be. There are 3 main ways this could be done. Any of th...

Decluttering herbs
For guilds that offer herbalism tasks (bringing a task giver fresh or ground herbs) I'd like to recommend herb donation boxes that give out guild points for donating herbs without a task. This would help to reduce the amount of herb hoarding that I do at least. To prevent abuse or too rapid guild pr...

Roc beaks and rocling talons seem like a great component for spearheads or knives. Would it be possible / acceptable to alter them to be knapable into wicked sharp versions of those tools / tool parts?

Current research because it's fun to share! I started out with the idea of doing a forging-hammer, though most hammers will be pretty similar. Re: Calling All Blacksmiths!
Also keep in mind that the middle message gets repeated 5 times as you work on the item. If the new system is coded like the current system, advanced smiths will see the middle message 5 times. Beginners and non-artisans will see the starter message then 3-4 iterations of the middle message and the...

Re: splitting food
Infinite cookies sounds delicious, but probably trying to share a cookie piece with only one bite left should say "There's not enough of that left to split." or something of the sort.
