Sheath to auto-close containers

Hey y'all, would it be possible to make sheath automatically check if a container was closeable, and then close it after the item is put away? I know a lot of us alias it but it would be a big QoL change.

Re: Suggestion: Replace Warden Combat Abilities

That's a cool read. I don't know anything about the guild but as I read your post, I saw this suggestion: Rias had mentioned in another thread that there was consideration for a Druidry spell that worked as a poulticed bandage for its duration, though it was rejected at the time. It seems like a gre...

Re: Quickchannel Master and its unintended effects

Thank you for that quote! I had no idea that had been said before, and I really do appreciate that greatly. That does assuage the projection related side of the question. I'd been using keywords like Projection to dig through the forums, and didn't think it'd been referenced in the past. I will adju...

Re: Quickchannel Master and its unintended effects

We did discuss it earlier as I'd had my misgivings about it then as well, but it has come up in chat and I felt it was time to bring my concerns to light. Sure can. As you said, being in roundtime takes energy regeneration down to nearly nothing. Opening and closing channels while in roundtime, to m...

Quickchannel Master and its unintended effects

This conversation came up in chat when someone suggested that a geomancer with quickchannel master (QCM) can open a channel at the last second of roundtime to gain the bonus without incurring the long open-channel energy drain through the roundtime. I think this concept of being able to open a chann...

Geomancy Projection Thoughts

After playing through as a master geomancer two years ago and finally once more again today, first and foremost I wanted to say "Wow, this feels awesome!" and it really does. Being able to pull out various projections nearly instantaneously out of what's effectively thin air is always so m...

Re: Legendary items

All three of the listed scenarios do not involve smelting down items for metal. So yes in all three. However if you were to smelt down a great axe then take that and smelt it together with an ore smelted bar, then no. The impurity carries over. Excitement! Palpable excitement! What a glorious change.

Thanks, Mystery GM for running that cute pie bake sale event the other night. It was tongue-in-cheek and the twist fully expected, but still funny.

Re: The Masterful Conundrum

So there are more incentive structures at play here, the chief among them is the shift in forging strategy after the recent forging change. In the past, a smith could (and would) max out forging general because it pays well and then ride that high skill to craft everything else. Now smiths need to ...

Hey y'all, Lun here beating a dead horse! Today we're talking about masterful quality items and their production rates and perceived value. It would be really cool if we could stick an amalgamate into a corpse with minor animation, then when the corpse expires it returns to its amalgamate form, similar to the wild nethrim.

Re: Seems like wands and staves no longer function

Yep, I'm not getting any geomancy tasks at all. I tested this on both my 0 geomancy character as well as my 1500 geomancy character. The Headmistress Seren says, "Good work! You should know enough now to use Geomancy: Apprentice onyour own." EAvd> Your guild doesn't currently have any task...

Seems like wands and staves no longer function

This might be directly related to the recent devlog regarding "a spellcasting mechanic exploit" but it seems like even if we have the related ability e.g. pyromancy, geomancy, we aren't able to zap a wand/stave without having an active channel up. Also, geomancy tasks aren't being issued a...

Re: Easy Trigger for Staves and Wands

Works great - I tweaked it a bit. I removed your setbgcolor because I have a black text on white background display, but it does help a lot to put some pizzazz on my gear. I may completely remove the color change in the future as well, but having the knowledge of how you replaced the wand thing? Awe...

I think, thematically, it's appropriate that parts of a castle are cold. This is, after all, technically 1218 and not in a future where boilers and heaters are easily readily available. BUT THIS IS ALSO A SCHOOL OF MAGIC, so... that being said I have no idea what the official opinion is. The easiest...

Re: About the Friends List

Well, we do have separate systems in place for all of this. I could see benefit in consolidating them, but on the other hand I don't like typing long syntax to get something I can get with short syntax. For people who don't know, we have the FRIEND list (IC), ENEMY list (IC), and NOTES (ic) Friends ...

Sitting in flooded rooms

So I had the spark of genius today to ask for a chair so I could sit down in the swamps. Rooms marked with "The area is flooded with shallow water" prevent you from sitting down, so I thought "Hey if I brought a chair I could put the chair down and sit on the chair therefore not be si...
