Re: Horse Combat Conditioning (not training)

Is this still an issue? I thought that horses become secondary targets compared to players some time ago, and effectively don't throw their riders off anymore (Granted, another player can aim at them, but the AI can't.)

Groinkick to work on both genders

Topic. Can we disable casting for both genders? It's 1218, let's get with gender equality!

Re: Offensive Tactics Buff

Thanks for bringing it up, Marauder! I agree with Jirato in the sense that "tactics aren't meant to be on all the time." Tactics are there to adjust to a situation, and can be used to power through a difficult opponent. Does the game itself accurately reflect that? Not necessarily. By goin...

Re: Mine Support Suggestion - Lower cave-in % of deep rooms?

Neat O. Thank you for your in depth analysis of the system, Jirato! I love the clarity and thought you put into that post. I honestly think at the end of the day, it's luck. I've had stints where under perfect situations, I get nailed with a 10 second RT cave in inside a perfectly shored up room wit...

Re: Campfire Burntime

The problem here is you're likely trying to feed it with branches or foraged logs in small amounts. A campfire at max capacity lasts about a chime before it tries to wink out, you can see how it's doing on duration by looking at it. Even without logging, you can still forage up six or seven deadwood...

Marketing Speech - Islet

"Craftsmen, survivalists, and friends thereof," Islet begins, looking out at the crowd gathered in the Founder's Square at Haiban, "Today, I intend to educate you on the the concept of a 'supply chain'." "The problem with ordering products from skilled blacksmiths is that si...

Bringing people back to the tutorial zone

It would be nice if mentors had a pathway from the mentor lounge to the tutorial zone, so they can bring people who skipped the tutorial and are struggling or who've forgotten the contents of the tutorial back to the tutorial to run it over again.

Re: Player Mine Changes

Hey, J, just wanted to give some feedback after using player mines for a month or so. Mine digging speed/rate: I really enjoy the kind of progressive feeling we get as we attain higher levels of mining, which correlates to a higher digging speed. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with how quickly mines ...

Cave Worms

Experienced my first Cave Worm experience today. They suck! Aaaaargh! Rage! Complain! Okay, whining over. Cave worms are an interesting enemy, and probably the hardest cave encounter. I really enjoy their balancing, and will have to account for them in the future... Compared to the other encounters,...

Re: SPLASH with a bucket

For the RP!

Uses: Someone tell me if this is the case, but is splash an offensive action? If not, you can use splash to clean your horse
You can splash an enemy for bonus cold damage
You can drench your friends.

Drunkness, cold duration are two things off the top of my head that aren't displayed with a timer.

Re: Drunk Roleplay

This issue mostly is a problem for the folk who play through a screen reader. I've heard that its nearly unintelligible. Unfortunately I can see that's a problem that might not be mitigated, but Yu can play into your character with that perspective that drunk people are hard to understand. There are...

I had the honor of RPing with Gileas for a while earlier today. It did come to blows, in the end, but the entire interaction was an amazing RP experience for me. Updated Storytelling Locations

I don't play a mummer, but in light of the destruction of most every hamlet, would it be possible to run through and update the list of storytelling locations to include the bars and cafes in Haiban, the gambling house, and other new bar-type locations? Not sure if this is actually already done.
