Re: Regarding breaking into player homes
It happened one time before there was relock behind you code..... and it cost me a bronze revolver and 10 bars of bloodglass. :(Jirato wrote:Though if the owner leaves their door unlocked, thst's not really a bug or oversight.

Re: Personal thoughts on the Wyrvardn
This is Lassyn's domain and I don't envy the task of sorting this out. I think Wyr should focus on the mass and apparent threats while avoiding personal quarrels. Protecting the weak from evil and oppression. The Gaia I'd categorize under 'personal'. I think Teek is looking for more structure to app...

Re: The Bandit Fort Crusade!
Teek, you're passionate about the game which is admirable; but that passion mixed with frustration and disappointment is manifesting in a negative fashion. I would advise letting some things slide and not take some things so personally. You know what I think? People don't like Teek Do you mean chara...

Re: Personal thoughts on the Wyrvardn
In some tabletop games factions/guilds/groups are further broken down into smaller camps. Each camp has it's own thoughts/agenda and methods of reaching their goals. I feel forming your own camp of like minded Wyrvardin would be better than imposing upon the entire group.

Re: The Bandit Fort Crusade!
Thanks for trying, Teek. Getting people on board can be a challenge even in the best of circumstances. I know you meant well and applaud the intent. There are some factors that complicated this endeavor though. Please take this as constructive criticism from someone who encourages you to try again i...

Re: The (nonexistance of) Lore Surrounding the Immortals
Interesting and a I applaud the intention to flesh out the game world. It wouldn't fit well here in my experience. Rias always had strict concepts to things and wouldn't tolerate variation to the parameters. It could be a different story with Jirato leading things now.

Re: Mining Overhaul?
Really like the ideas coming out. I understand no promises set in stone but it's great to know gears are turning. Though it could also take a five person team over a day to dig a shaft, depending on how active they are. What if the game goes through a slow phase of low players though? Another concer...

What about the worm/spider/drakolin. Will they get toned down since there will no longer be gem caverns?

Re: Mining Overhaul?
No objections to the current model being amazingly over powered. But what do player mines hold in the future? I have to say I really loved the teamwork and coordination coming out of Gad's mine in particular when it came to coordinating digging out and maintaining the shafts. Just random thoughts ou...

Re: The Mine
But nobody should go into any situation thinking they should be immune from any loss and guaranteed a win, like they've suffered their loss quota and now they are guaranteed to win. That's unrealistic. That's a bit of an exaggeration compared to Teek's post. I think you over analyze, or have a pote...

Water hauling initially kept me from farming with Shad or Corvus alts. Honestly the sheer amount of investment of time and other factors just makes it unpractical.

I'm not saying people shouldn't loose their things. Just put heavy forethought into rendering a loss and how to handle before, during, and after giving that loss.Skjotur wrote: I don't think naivete should be an excuse to say people shouldn't lose in conflicts or lose their things.

Discusion methods
Rather than derail another thread I thought bring it up here. If someone doesn't like a post or the way it's worded why even comment on it? it kind of goes off topic of the original post. I'd like to think as reasonable people we could communicate; and with constructive criticism refine each other's...

I can kind of see where you're coming from Kent, but I think you are over dramatizing. Also I think it's a small problem in comparison to things on staff workload atm.

Re: The Mine
I suppose a better way to say it would be please never handle a situation in this way again. Loosing is easier to deal with if you know there is a possibility of loosing. As a Corvite I know and run risks, as a Dunwyr there are obvious risks. If I was Gad I would have lost it to; this coming out of ...

I gripe a lot and have a talent for being the first to holler 'hey fix this!' but I do care about the game and appreciate the staff.
