Re: Mindsense toggle option and other possible mummer abilities
I agree with the anthem suggestion. We need someone to empower people with their mad flesh-golem bagpiping skills. Always found it kind of weird the only actual buffs a mummer provide are moral boosts, and improving the vocal based abilities of other guilds. Thought they would have a bit more for th...

Re: Words Breaking Words
Actually, there was a famous Corvite mummer player a few years back. Can't really say how they were, but considering some stuff one can dig up from ic interaction, they joined all of their guilds and special choices for rp related reasons. Granted, I'm also not sure how the guild even was back then ...

Re: Words Breaking Words
As a harbinger player, the problem with mummer abilities was their eventual reliability on landing and their really short roundtime. That spell your mentiong has enough of a roundtime where the mummer can cast 3 word of wonders on me by the time I leave my roundtime. Also, shield blocking and parryi...

Re: Words Breaking Words
Or, rather than reporting every single instance of this, just nerf Word of Wonder to only provide its current free hit, rather than this combination to assure one is locked into having 0 interaction or defenses? Eliminate it, and then observe how many mummers stick with the guild. It's already silen...

Words Breaking Words
Disclaimer: I'm posting this fully aware of the backlash this might end up causing. However, considering certain mutterings in the playerbase, and the fact this archetype has popped up way too common to be healthy, it's time to maybe pull the trigger on it. In summary, mummer abilities need a massiv...

An overly Generous monk?
The vaguest possible description of the following was a sudden attack by three hostiles against a group of adventurers. Combat began, bodies flew. A monk was doing their best to keep everyone healed up and regenerated. Unfortunately, they did it too well... POV of one of the three You feel your woun...

Re: Mounts and Spotting
In my experience, the only players who consistantly fight on warmounts all tend to have poor perception due to armor penalties. Other people lose too many useful abilities and bonuses to hop on a mount 24/7. It's still better for them to grind out perception while keeping other abilities. Anyway, un...

Mounts and Spotting
After many battles where their riders drag them into dangerous environments of threats of various shades, a mount develops a weariness of entities to sneak around in the shadows. Especially if their rider has a bad habit of being struck by such people/creatures. Being the lifeline between the attent...

Re: Shooing Off unattended mounts
To be fair, where mounts sometimes end up, people do wait about an hour or so for their horse to recover from being murderhoboed by a player thinking it's faster to send them back that way. Especially when the location is very far from any nearby revival points, or in very difficult to navigate loca...

Shooing Off unattended mounts
Probably one of the more annoying aspects for recovering a dead player's body is doing anything about mounts. There's little one can do to move the mount away while moving a dead body. You generally ahve to either leave it behind to get mauled by the local denizens of the area, or the dead players h...

I think you posted in the wrong board and topic. The For Humor thread isn't here.
Though but seriously, I want to see some stories from that guy. It's been a bit since stuff has populated this board and it would be nice to read a few tales.

Re: The Dangers of Dying
Not sure if this is IC info, but it's mentioned in one of the changelogs for this year or last year. It's already possible to lose skill points on death if the dice don't roll your way on one of the revival options. There's actually mechanics to avoiding it, but I think that's ic info. Something for...

The Start of Kexel Fraeore's misadventures
Hm, this isn’t the ideal situation for me. Let’s see, house liquidated and sold after being ruined. Parents are now missing. Younger sister is completely unresponsive but alive. Oh, and I’ve been feeling weird lately. Oh right, and dying, that wasn’t pleasant either. At least sitting on this bench i...
