Re: GMs want to get in on the player character experience
Idea is good. Large scale going out to adventure and kill stuff might be a problem sometimes, with skill disparities, but who knows. That's fun sometimes, too.

Re: On the horizon: Ability Trees, Class Specializations, and Guilds
Regarding Marauders, as: - Dwaedn Wyr: Possibly! I'm constantly going back and forth on this one. I think the fact that you are going back and forth means there is at least some merit to the idea. In my opinion, it's better to let players play potential unique takes on things, especially if it coul...

Re: On the horizon: Ability Trees, Class Specializations, and Guilds
Double post, but I think it's worth adding the general sentiment that... everyone fights dirty, when it comes down to it. Obviously this might be pushing too hard into realism, but if you are back against a wall with a man's sword at your neck, you will probably do anything to get out of that situat...

Re: On the horizon: Ability Trees, Class Specializations, and Guilds
The major issue with Dwaedn Wyr is the lore behind Dwaedn Wyr might exclude Marauders because they're extremely dishonorable, but on the flip side; anything goes in a life or death battle. Templars? Definitely not, in my opinion. It'd possibly ruin their ability to use their magic if they focused t...

Re: Scavenge Ability Overhaul Discussion
I like this a lot. I was said person who, despite being a nearly capped warrior and being very good at the combat system, struggled hard for money. This was due, in part, to the changes that resulted in money being cut down based on skill. I would love to see more engaging methods for scavengers and...

This might come across rude, but gating QoL stuff in a soundpack behind people not seeing extra information feels kind of weird.

Re: Standard attacks use all relevant defenses again
Unless I am misunderstanding, it appears that COMBAT DEFENSE sets only one defensive option to be used, rather than setting one to go first. Is this intended?
Also, OPTIONS 8 no longer hides die rolls, as someone pointed out on #game chat.

Re: On the horizon: Ability Trees, Class Specializations, and Guilds
SPEKing into the Duelist-adjacent abilities where possible would probably be fine. But at a certain point, unless you are dragging people's attention off of a target so they specifically attack you, it's really hard to afectively guard someone while dodging attacks. Parry? Sure. But that's different...

If you know, you know. And you know why. This song uniquely fits this character in a way I have never been able to successfully pin down before, with any character. And it is also just a reason to listen to Free Bird: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LwcvjNJTuM&pp=ygUYZnJlZSBiaXJkIGx5bnlyZCBza3l...

Stealthy People's Thoughts on Group Stealth Exemptions
Probably just a product of having no perception because we are new, but I find it exceedingly difficult to communicate to group members, while both are stealthed. What if we had a little toggle that would let us always show up to our group member when we are stealthed. Or something like that. Or jus...

Shadgard currently has no staves teacher, and, as far as I know, there is no swimming teacher, for anyone. Obviously swimming's a weird one, because you need at least one point to be able to do it in the first place. not sure how that's going to be handled.

Re: Suggestions for Hunting, and New Huntables!
I don't have animal descriptions, cause I'm bad at this stuff, but hunting gators or snakes near the swampy areas would be cool. But I really bumped this topic because I wanted to add that making it so that butchering gave skinning practice (less than actually skinning) would be awesome. Butchering ...

Re: more variety for covering up items in clothing slots
The problem with wrist sheathes is that they weren't super common things. So it's hard to say. But when they were things, they were usually for throwing knives or other small things, like stilettos. I'm a sword and gun guy, not a historical knife guy, so some people might know better than me, of cou...

Hit -5.00 morale with this, because I was looking for something and misread the amount of food I had (my fault). Could we make it not spam you with morale penalty messages every move, once you hit -5.00?

Simple. Could we get the ability to SLICE things into halves, or quarters, or eighths, or something? That way we can give people bigger portions of stuff.

That's not really why, I just come from games where characters stay constant in the world, even when logged out, and things like that. I personally like it for the asthetic, and being able to hop off, go to bed and hop right back on in the morning. I do agree that people might be weird about it, tho...

Why? What if I also just want to go sit in my room and watch stuff while I do other things and not lose a bunch of morale? Doesn't seem like it needs to knock out all of someone's functionality. People are capable of realizing that they probably shouldn't react to something two hours before they wok...

Re: Inn Rooms: Renting Rooms
When your rent runs out, it just dumps you out of the room. Could it instead only dump items and delete the room once you have left it? That way we could idle in it and not get dropped at the front desk if we happened to forget to pay?

SLEEP Command
Hi, Simple request, today. I like to leave my connection open over night in MUDs. But in this game, it drains morale. Could we have a SLEEP command that suspends morale loss and maybe even lets you gain morale as if you had logged out once it ends? It could just work like AFK, where a command breaks...
