Re: For Humor

Speaking to Quintin, you airily declare, "I am offended, Quintin -Gregory- Wright. Wounded, even."

Talyn laughs!

Zeldryn loudly repeats, "Gregory?"

Speaking to Zeldryn, you loudly insist, "Gregory."

Re: Talking in emotes, without abuse

Well, not knowing the way CLOK's code works... we already have a way to switch between known languages to speak in says. So I don't know if there's some way to be able to make it so that when you speak in emotes, so long as you use quotation marks, the game recognizes whatever language you have set ...

Re: Talking in emotes, without abuse

I honestly would love this. As someone who plays a very animated character, it's sometimes hard to properly express how Zahrah likes to move around and gesture while she talks with having to break up emotes and says. I've been managing by simply command stacking a bunch of emotes and says together, ...

Re: For Humor

Zeldryn darkly concludes, "Speech sigh."

[FROM Zeldryn (OOC)]: Lol. RIP
[TO Zeldryn (OOC)]: I loled.
[FROM Zeldryn (OOC)]: This is what happens when i'm uncaffeinated.

Some RP Shout-Outs!

I really just wanted to take the time to thank a few people for always making an effort to RP with my character. I've always enjoyed CLOK as a grindy MUD, but one of my biggest complaints when I was playing before was that there was a general lack of RP; in my experience playing here a few years ago...

I use MUSH. I use LUA, but I had someone make me an auto herb grind script in JScript (THANK YOU. BEST SCRIPT EVER) so now I'm using JScript.

Re: Events Planning

So, I mentioned this on chat earlier today (yesterday now, I guess?) but my grand plan/Zahrah's grand plan because she's the socialite over here is to host one IC event each month. At least. I might do two in a month if one is small/easy/wouldn't require much planning (like my tea party idea). And I...

Thanks, guys!

I want to thank everyone who came out tonight and made an appearance! It was great. I'm tickled pink you lot managed to keep yourselves entertained for three hours straight. The RP was great and awesome and wonderful and I could gush for quite a while over it all. I know I'd miss someone if I tried ...

Re: Smiting and Blessing

I mess around with it when people seem to be having a good time on chat. I've got a one-track mind at times, too. I'll tone it back in order to not bug those that don't want to see it as much. Sorry! You do you, Vestyn! <3 I would never want to discourage anyone from enjoying their OOC laughs and p...

Re: For Humor

An old man who lies fast asleep by the stage suddenly awakes again, this time with a yell of, "MORE WINE!" The finely dressed waiter hears the call but this time chooses to ignore it. Again the old man awakes and yells, "MORE MINE!". The waiter also ignores this. And again the o...

If anyone needs help with horse-y descriptions for the grooming stuff, just let me know! I own horses IRL and uh... I sometimes write gud. Depends on the level of caffeine in my system.

No problem, J! I get wordy sometimes. I sorry.

And trust me, I'd be all for more player homes being available as opposed to pets that follow you about!

Well, that sucks. Alright, thanks for letting me know. I cut all the fish down because they were too big to fit into anything uncut.

Re: Pets!

Thanks for the great feedback, guys! I just wanted to mention really quick that I had heard about the house pets before making this post, so I know pets do exist somewhere in the game. But I was specifically suggesting "follow pets." And I could DEFINITELY see it being silly to have someon...

Fish stew and pies?

Is this a thing? I tried forever to make a fish stew last night and finally gave up after giving myself a headache because I've been told it is a thing, but if it is, I can't figure it out. I've tried this with both basic and hearty stews. For example: In the sturdy iron pot you see some stock, a fi...

Pets!

The title of this thread pretty much says it all. I think pets (that could follow you around while you're out on your various adventures) would be an awesome addition to CLOK. I'm suggesting them mainly for RP purposes, though I could see other uses for them that I'll get to later in my suggestion! ...

Re: Haiban Feedback and Suggestions

Just something I noticed today (appropriate sentence bolded by me): [Founder's Inn, Foyer] (InUr) Dark reddish-brown marble speckled with white and black makes up the floor of this large room. A sweeping staircase with an ornate bronze banister leads up to a second floor ballroom. A discrete sign di...

It'd have to be within the boundaries of magical lore, though. For example, I don't think there would be a puff of smoke.
