Re: One of the hardest things as a developer...

I completely understand how crappy destructive criticism can be, it's something that happens in all forms of gaming but that doesn't make it any better for either players or staff. It's unfortunate that you feel disabling chat is necessary, there are times I enjoy the liveliness and sense of communi...

Re: Spell Suggestion: Blood Barbs: A lore-friendly Ice Barbs

I think I'd have preferred some kind of nether aura around the businesss end of the weapon to forming barbs personally, a little more mystical and a little less brutal.

Re: Dissipation inconsistencies, and a compromise

On the other hand requiring an ability would be consistent with the infused nether ability, though I know that elemancy and sorcery aren't the same thing.

Re: Sensitive information

Interesting, I like the idea of this with two possible routes I could imagine. 1: Ancient language commonly used by sorcerous tomes, learning it would be a standard part of a sorceror's progress because most of the books in the libraries they make use of would be in this language anyway. 2: Secret c...

Re: Memorial Day Weekend, CLOK Beta, Skill Acceleration

Been around here maybe a year and a half and I haven't had any meaningful complaints about the changes so far, I'm looking forward to things being shaken up a little.

Re: Personal thoughts on the Wyrvardn

Corvite situation: In this situation Bob should do his best to communicate with Tom over the fighting about what happened, and should have held back joining in if possible to inform Tom. Ultimately the Outrider is the spark here and it's kinda their fault even though this would be very much conformi...

Re: Making mercenaries relevant

I know about the barracks, I was just trying to think of a way to make it make a difference. I wasn't aware of the ring so thanks for pointing that out, though no matter how many tasks I've done I haven't managed to get any increase in payout. Does it disappear if you fail a task so it only builds a...

Making mercenaries relevant

We all know that since generalisation, a change which I love by the way, the mercenaries have little incentive over being guildless. They've very few abilities, tasks pay very little still at least in my case, and there are no guild services. I joined the mercenaries some time ago with my main and w...

Bar brawling - headbutting, biting, bottles over the head, chair swinging. Ability to pour liquid containers over someone's head or throw them in someone's face. And most of all, a "screw you monks" ability for rooks and tainted individuals that allows you to refuse healing from the NPC mo...

Re: The Tarueka situation

I also didn't realise this was a permanant "we win" situation, though now I realise I do like the idea that we actually altered the game world in some manner. I could see perhaps small infested animals still hovering about since they would be difficult to entirely clear out but I certainly...

Re: VIPMud soundpack!

I've been using an older version of this soundpack for a while now, tried downloading it again both to update and because I've had a reinstall but the dropbox link gives a 404 error. Any chance you could take a look at it please?
