This one gets my vote. It seems like a pretty practical and believable solution.

Re: Haunting Task
I appreciate the advice, Mercer. A lot has been offered in this thread, and I'm following it all to the best of my ability. As I've said, I do believe the tasks are doable. What I'm suggesting are quality of life and anti-frustration updates. When I say scaling, I don't mean the skill of the mobs. I...

Re: Haunting Task
I think the issue is that they aren't that bad, except for the times that they are. I'll occasionally get six mobs spawning within the span of a few seconds, presumably just due to bad luck on the dice rolls involved. As a hardier Templar with higher skills, better gear, and better spells, that isn'...

Re: Haunting Task
I've had my own trouble with these tasks as a low rank Templar. The swarms can show up extremely quickly if you're unlucky, though I try to dismiss my halo to prevent it from happening which makes it more manageable. I'd classify them as the most difficult and dangerous task available to us by far, ...

Re: Knights of the Wyrvardn
Speaking from the Templar perspective, I'd agree: Wyrvardn are not "cheap Templar." I know Caleb well, and he's told me about you (Gralkik) too. From everything I've seen, the Wyrvardn definitely stand on their own. Caleb even made me a little jealous of Wyrvardn today at one point! Regard...

Re: Age bracket update possibility?
I was considering contacting staff about it more directly, but then I thought it would be a nice option for everyone who wanted it.

Abilitiy to improve Light VS Armor
These ability ideas have the same end result of light-based attacks being less resisted by armor. Just different ways of explaining it, since I wasn't sure which one would fit best. Radiant Beams: Light-based attacks radiate more energy, some of that energy making its way through the gaps and cracks...

Age bracket update possibility?
Is there any chance of a one-time age bracket update for a character? I made this character something around 10 years ago, and when I picture him now I see him showing his age quite a bit more than he did then. If no, then not a big deal.

Re: An alternate name for mithril?
Is it ferrous? If not, then I wouldn't give it a -steel name. You could use the less common and less jarring name it was given from the source that inspired it, and call it truesilver. Or, just make things up: zephyrite, silverblende, antiburdenium (antibur for short). Edit: Just looked it up, and a...

policy 3 -=Disruptive Behavior=- Because CLOK is a free multi-player game, there can sometimes be a conflict between individual players who have different ideas regarding what they find to be entertaining. Staff members have the final say in these areas. CLOK is designed for the enjoyment of everyo...

Re: Thaumaturgy Gains
I like this idea, and it could even be applied to a lot of other high energy spells. The higher energy costs make sense as a limiting factor so the spells aren't overused, since they're more powerful, but it would be great to get more gains as a result, particularly in the case of Templar when there...

Re: Impromptu party
It was fun to meet a few new people and learn a little about them! I was a little discouraged to see how active the people were on Chat instead of IC at the gathering, but that's probably because I showed up later and people were ready to be done by then.

Thanks for this! I think some ability prerequisites need to be updated, though. Some are showing "chant_resolve" among the prerequisites. I bugged it in-game but am posting here in hopes of a quicker resolution, so I can get those abilities soon.

War Mounts
We no longer have the opportunity to get destriers since disaster has struck Valeria, and I wasn't able to save up enough merit to ever get one. Any thoughts on adding a replacement of some kind somewhere in Shadgard, so we can get a war mount via merit again?
